Barmaid

This and the next four pictures were taken from Gavarni in London, which contains wood engravings made from drawings by Paul Gavarni, and, as the title page has it, “illustrative essays by popular writers”. The edition from which these pictures were taken was published by David Bogue, London, 1849.
