Hadrosaurus
HADROSAURUS s. (gr. hadros, thick; sauros, lizard). Gigantic dinosaurian fossil reptile that lived in the fields and in the forests of the Cretaceous period and is abundant in the region of New Jersey (United States). It reached a length of 10 m ; its forelimbs were half as long as its hind limbs, its tail had tremendous strength. It was obviously a terrestrial animal and its teeth, made to grind, indicate that it only fed on plants.
