Gordonia
GORDONIA s. (After Gordon, the name of a famous Scottish family). Bot. genus of trees and shrubs of cammalliaceae family, which includes several species that grow in hot regions of North America. Gordonia lasianthus can be found in an area located between Virginia and Florida; gordonia pubescens is common in South Georgia.
