Cross-section view of three levels of the Wieliczka Salt Mine showing a chapel, stables and horses, multiple chambers and passageways with men extracting salt or moving it around in barrels. This illustration was designed after an original artwork by Michał Stachowicz.^[1]

The caption reads in the original French: Vue des travaux souterrains dans les mines de sel de Wieliska [sic], en Gallicie.
