Description:

Night scene showing the façade of the house where J. M. W. Turner was born, partly overshadowed by theopposite building. A man (a coachman?) carrying a lantern and wearing a Garrick cloak can be seen wearily walking away from the viewer as the silhouettes of two women can just be made out through the shadows of an open door on the first floor.
