Description:

Hand-colored aquatint showing Time and Death, represented as an old man carrying a scythe and a skeleton with an arrow and hourglass. They stand beside a man sitting at a table with a blank book open before him, seemingly waiting for inspiration to start writing. A little further in front of him, an artist draws one of the many sculpted busts lining the room.
