Description:

A house with a bartizan (of sorts) and checkered tile pattern stands on a high, circular, rotating platform operated by wheels and gears. A man wearing a cap manages the device while at house level, people are going on with their lives with a woman reading on the terrace and children flying a kite.

The caption reads in the original French: Maison tournante aérienne.
