Description:

Hand-colored lithograph showing a lesser spotted eagle (currently known as Clanga pomarina)  perching on a branch in the foreground, with a second eagle visible further away. According to the author, The plate represents a young bird, about two-thirds of the natural size, with a very much reduced figure of the adult in the distance.
