Description:

Plate showing, from top to bottom, a giant leaf frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor), a black-spotted casque-headed treefrog (Trachycephalus nigromaculatus), and two European tree frogs (Hyla arborea). The former two are native to South America, the last ones to Europe. They all belong to the Hylidae family, which mostly consists of arboreal species.

The caption reads in the original German:
