Stipple engraving showing Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus, also known as lemon lily or yellow daylily, a herbaceous perennial plant in the family Asphodelaceae. It is native to Eurasia and produces clusters of fragrant lemon-yellow flowers that bloom in summer.

The caption reads in the original French: Hemerocallis flava — Hemerocalle jaune.
