Description:

Hand-colored depiction of an anatomical preparation showing the head, seen slightly from the side, and torso of a young man, from which parts of the skull and thorax have been removed in order to expose the vagus, accessory, glossopharyngeal and hypoglossal nerves, a section of the trigeminal nerve, the sympathetic nervous system, and the celiac plexus.

The caption reads in the original French: Nerfs pneumo-gastriques.
